Hello, Second Trimester!

Hola! (Gaya Dora, please?). Maaf, terpengaruh dengan anak saya. Heehe. Lamanya tak mengemaskini blog. Alasan kali ini adalah kerana ada penyakit ‘M’. Heh.

Apa? Nak tahu pasal trip ke Turki? Tunggu ya, saya masih belum transfer gambar yang beratus-ratus keping tersebut. Nantilah, bagi saya sedikit ruang sebab sekarang masih bertungkus-lumus menyiapkan kerja yang menggunung itu. *hiba mode*

You have no idea (tiba-tiba tukar tulis Bahasa Inggeris. Haha), how much I want to share our good news with you tapi maaflah, masa tak mengizinkan selama ini. Inipun curi masa untuk menulis sementara menunggu klien tiba.

The good news (at least for us and our families. Ngee) is : Khayra will become a big sister soon. Alhamdulillah, I’m entering my second trimester now. Sangat berbeza pengalaman kali ini berbanding masa pregnant-kan Khayra dulu. When I said this to Hubby, he said : “Sebab dulu kita PJJ, Allah permudahkan urusan kita. Kali ini berat sikit supaya kita sabar to face it together.” Sort of macam ini jawapan Suami kepada saya. Hehe.

For this second pregnancy: saya mengalami keletihan yang melampau, nausea dan sangat sensitif terhadap bau-bauan, perut yang tak selesa dan kurang selera makan seawal kami tahu mengenainya pada minggu ke-5. We did the home pregnancy test as soon as my period was delayed for 3 days. Sewaktu period delayed hari pertama, saya siap countdown dengan Suami, punyalah excited. Haha.

Totally lain dengan waktu Khayra bila dulu saya langsung tiada masalah makan, not much of nausea dan tak seletih kali ini. Now, cravings jangan cakaplah, tapi bila perut tak selesa, selera turut tersekat. This time around, bila balik office saja memang tak selesa dan sangat letih. Buat satu kerja seperti lipat kain dah mengah. Setakat ini boleh kira berapa kali saya memasak kat rumah – masak telur dadar saja mungkin. Haha. So don’t ask me too much on Turkey’s trip sebab tak berdaya lagi nak buat entry (walaupun sepatutnya in second trimester dah OK sikit, kan?). Alhamdulillah sepanjang di Turki, saya diberikan kesihatan yang baik. Syukur sangat Suami, ibu bapa dan mertua yang banyak membantu dan menjaga Khayra.

Apa reaksi Khayra bila tahu dia bakal ada adik? Oh, begitu excited. Kalau saya letih, she said, “Ibu baring k?” When I cannot smell her poo-poo she said, “Ibu, tutup hidung k? Abah basuh.” Haha. Kalau saya cakap tak larat nak dukung dia, she will walk dan pegang tangan saya. Bila pergi scan, dia excited pegang gambar baby. Obviously bila tahu saya pregnant, Khayra agak clingy. She told her teacher, “Dalam perut Ibu Khayra ada baby.” Habis, satu school tahu. Meriah anak saya. Haha.

Gotta stop here sebab klien dalam perjalanan ke sini. Doakan saya dan adik baby sihat ya! Amin.

China Trip (December, 2011)

Sorry for the late update. Here’s a complete notes on our recent (d'uh its already March, 2012!) trip to China. If you personally ask me whether I want to come again to China (particularly Shenzhen), I would say NO. Teehee. But if you have never been to China, it’s a good experience to know about their culture, their foods, their places of interests etc. For those yang cerewet pasal makan while traveling, please bring your own comfort food (like serunding daging, sambal bilis, kicap etc). It is also a well-known place for shopping, as you could find almost everything under one roof in China, with a cheaper price if I may add. The key words are : you-must-bargain-when-purchasing!

Note : please bear in mind, imitation things are everywhere, tepuk dada, tanya selera. The weather in Guangzhou is generally lagi sejuk berbanding Shenzhen and Hong Kong. All in all, it was a nice experience in China. I may conclude, if you go anywhere with your beloveds you will feel great! That’s the key :)

Her favourite songs in the car right now : Sifat-Sifat Allah (Khayra will ask for “Qidam-Baqa-Song”) and 10 Malaikat (she pronounces it as “Maikat”) by Raihan. Hubs bought it 2 weeks ago and she will ask for “Qidam-Baqa-Song” or sometimes she refers it as “Number 5” as the song is on Track #5 and “Maikat Song” bila naik kereta. Punyalah pasang hari-hari sampai ingat track nombor berapa lagu apa. Hihi. Khayra cuba menghafal sebenarnya. Doakan anak saya, ya? :D

Play School Day 1 - Khayra

Alhamdulillah, these are what Khayra have told us – regarding her new play school and her reaction towards going to school on Day 2 this morning (via my Twitter updates) :

Khayra - New Play School 2012

It seems just like yesterday I went alone to send Khayra to her first (play) school in early 2011. I remember I cried after sending her to school and I can’t wait to fetch her up from school. After 2 months of sending her to school, I discovered she has learnt a lot and she was good at teaching skills (still make me laugh until now when I read / look at the pictures :P).

This year we have enrolled Khayra into a new play school. Not that her previous school has done something wrong tapi kami dah jatuh hati pada this one play school based on its input. This new play school offers iqra’, science, more to development skills, do-it-yourself method and offers English medium education. It has Parents’ Day and Ihtifal Day (concert / presentation day) which I like the most. Teehee. There are several classes according to the age group with less than 15 kids per class (Khayra will be in the Play Group class) with 3 Teachers and maids to assist and all kids will have to attend assembly every morning untuk pengisian rohani. Yang paling ‘best’ Ibu dan Abah kena hantar Khayra awal pagi at 8.20am (sebelum ini school lama hantar at 9.00am). Hihi.

We went to send her together this morning to her new school. With her wearing her school uniform and without wearing diaper, we have in fact already potty trained her and so far she will tell us whenever she wants to shi-shi (pee) and will ask for diaper whenever she wants to poo-poo (haha!). Sebenarnya dah cakap awal-awal yang Khayra akan masuk new school dan usually dia akan sambung, “ada kawan-kawan baru, Teachers baru..” so we taught she would be ready to face it. She was kinda excited bila pakai uniform baru and bergaya sakan when we took her pictures untuk tatapan her grandparents.

At the moment sampai school baru, Khayra OK saja. We talked to her teacher, hantar masuk ke tempat assembly but the moment teacher nak ambil Khayra, she cried. Hubby told me she will be OK then kitorang terus ke kereta. I didn’t cry maybe sebab hantar berdua dengan Suami, jadi tabahlah sikit. Heh. We hope she is doing fine at her new school. Amin.

Now, I really can’t wait to fetch her from school and dengar cerita dari Si Kenit! Pasti banyak! :P

December, 2011

Here’s the end of year of 2011. Quick updates on our events in December, 2011:

Khayra was helping me with baking chocolate chip cookies. A little helper, I must say! :D

Tadaa! Hasil tangan Ibu (dan Khayra) yang Khayra samakan dengan “Chipsmore”. Haha! *kembang setaman*

Invited both sides of parents to have lunch at our house. Great company!

Diary hunting with Lil One. She was undecided to pick her book. *Rambang mata* (Nasib baik terhadap buku-buku ;P)

Dinner at Pizza Hut. Muka bahagia Si Kenit. Heheh.

Wordless Wednesday (21.12.2011) Hong Kong Disneyland

Demam 30 Jam

It’s been a while since Khayra fell sick. Last aku tulis entry ini (February, 2011) yang Khayra demam bila dapat ulser. Since Khayra 2 years old, kita dah start bagi Vitamin C (her favourite is Grapes flavor – Champs) setiap hari. If kita tak ingat, Khayra yang akan minta. Alhamdulillah, since then dengan izin Allah Khayra tak demam.

Sejak kita kembali dari bercuti, KT hujan saja and on 9.12.2011, Khayra ada batuk sikit and we realized her body ada temperature lepas Maghrib. Kami terus ke klinik and doctor cakap ada demam, batuk dan selsema – perfect combo, NOT! We kept our eyes on her temperature and did the sponging method. Yang kelakarnya, when she refused to let me put the wet towel on her forehead, aku nyanyi lagu 25 Rasul sambil letak towel basah on her forehead, baru dia diam. Since then bila aku nak letak towel basah, she requested: “Ibu, nak nyanyi Adam Idris (25 Rasul) / Alif Baa Taa, plish (please)” Haha, sejuk hati aku :D

On 10.12.2011 – Temperature tak tinggi dah tapi batuk still tak berkurang. I blamed the weather, holiday bugs and the fact that Khayra did not take her Vitamin C regularly during our vacation. Huhu. Malamnya dikhabarkan berlaku Gerhana Bulan Penuh in which aku keluar juga dari rumah nak tengok at 9.45pm, tapi tak nampak. Heh. Lepas solat sunat Gerhana, aku selitkan doa semoga Khayra cepat sembuh. I took half day on Sunday dan Alhamdulillah Khayra dah tak demam. Syukur sangat Khayra hanya demam untuk 30 jam sahaja. November, 2011

So this would be our first (and ONLY) entry in November, 2011? So hectic. Jotting down these for our future references:-

17th and 18th November: MCLAREN VOLO

We have been searching a lightweight stroller / umbrella stroller for Khayra untuk jalan-jalan. Dah survey beberapa tempat dan dah buat sedikit rujukan di internet dan sangat memerlukannya sebelum Disember ini. Kebetulan ada beberapa ibu-ibu sedang berdiskusi di Twitter dan ramai yang suggest to buy Mclaren Volo sebab lightweight. My criteria are as long as ada shade and basket, it would be perfect. Hubby’s criteria kalau boleh nak yang ada strap to galas and of course lightweight. Dipendekkan cerita, one mummy (@idayezid) yang saya kenal di Twitter gave me a link (Ainpreloveditems) yang jual pre loved Mclaren Stroller including Volo. Added her at FB and lucky me on that day, dapat chatting with Ain di FB dan buat reservation on Volo. Lagi best bila Ain offered ada new Mclaren Volo but ada a minor defect (and not visible to the naked eyes, if I may add) with a really reasonable price. Ain showed me the defect dekat button on the shade yang tercabut and Ain dah fixed it with another button, so it’s just like 99% new. Yang lain tak ada problem langsung and it comes in a box with tag, rain cover and warranty. Made an appointment with Ain at KL and sangat berpuas hati when we looked at the condition of the stroller dan terus bayar in cash to her. Sungguh berpuas hati dealing with Ain & husband Ain yang tolong kami pasang the said stroller & tunjuk cara etc to us. Thanks Ain! Terima kasih juga kepada semua rakan-rakan Twitter saya yang lain! My personal review on Volo : GREAT! Only weighing 4kg, ada strap to carry on the shoulder, ada basket, rain cover and shades. Volo tak boleh recline ya, kawan-kawan tapi for a toddler yang berumur 1 year and above, tak kisah sangat kot. Volo is suitable for baby from 6 months. For purpose of jalan-jalan (and if you already have another perfect stroller yang boleh recline and suits from newborn), Volo adalah bagus for your next (lightweight) stroller.

18th November: BEST FRIENDS

OK, enough on lightweight stroller. Next, we went to the Maternity & Children Expo at Midvalley. Secara tak sengaja sebenarnya sebab kami memang plan nak ke MV so masuk MV saja, baru tahu ada Expo. Langkah kanan lah kiranya. Haha.

At night jumpa kawan-kawan kesayangan, Linda and Zmah berserta Suami dan anak masing-masing di Uptown. Rasanya dah lama tak jumpa semua sekali begini so bila jumpa excited sangat! Thanks korang for the triple dates! :P

19th November: WEDDING

Jalan-jalan di The Curve, singgah rumah Makcik dan Pakcik, breakfast with Abang Imran’s family and attending hubby’s best friend’s wedding at Bora Asmara. Kawan baik Suami saya since tadika. Bagus, kan? Jumpa Wahida Ghazali, kawan lama saya ketika tuisyen Darjah 6 at the wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and congratulations to Midah & husband!

20th November: AL-FATIHAH

7.45am – Mama called Tanya bila nak bertolak balik ke KT. Kami sedang bersiap nak bertolak balik ke KT pada waktu tersebut. At about 8.30am, tengah nak kunci pintu rumah SIL (SIL & family went back to KT already on Friday), Hubby’s BIL called and informed us that Wan (Hubby’s grandmother) dah meninggal. We were so shocked. Suami saya terduduk di kerusi when we received the sad news. I hugged Hubby & started to cry. I was in denial bila Suami bagitahu untuk inform that news to my family. Saya rasa macam baru saja cakap dengan Mama dan waktu itu masih tak ada perkhabaran sedih itu. We started the car & had our breakfast in the car dan terus balik KT. Masa tu Allah saja yang tahu, saya berdoa agar perjalanan kami selamat (hujan sangat lebat on that day) dan moga cepat tiba di KT. On our way, kami dapat live updates dari both SIL & BIL yang kebetulan balik ke KT pada minggu itu.

We reached KT at 1.30pm and terus ke rumah Mama. I cried again masa peluk my SIL, Mama, his Aunties & cousins. Walaupun saya berpeluang mengenali Arwah Wan hanya 3 tahun lebih, kehilangan Arwah sangat dirasai. Semoga Allahyarhamah Che Zainab Binti Abu Bakar (92 tahun) (28.02.1919 – 20.11.2011) ditempatkan dikalangan orang-orang yang beriman. Al-Fatihah.

Tahlil dan bacaan Yaasin diadakan di kediaman Mama untuk 3 malam. Terima kasih pada yang sudi hadir dan terima kasih atas segala ucapan takziah dan doa-doa kalian.

24th and 25th November: ENGAGEMENT

Went to KL again with my parents to attend my cousin’s engagement at Cyberjaya. Berkumpul with my siblings, aunties & cousins adalah fun sebab semua rapat dan banyak gossip. Tehee. We might have to cancel our trip to *ehem (nama tempat dirahsiakan) early next year sebab perkahwinan sepupu saya akan diadakan pada tarikh tersebut.

So that’s all my catatan ringkas for the events that have been occurred in November, 2011. Ada segala kemanisan pertemuan, kepahitan perpisahan, kesempurnaan sebuah ikatan baru dan keterujaan menempuh hari mendatang. That’s life, huh? So colourful.

With that I have another few working days before our holiday begins. Yippee! *lompatbintang*
