My parents celebrated their 36th anniversary on 29 March 2009. When I googled the significance of a 36th anniversary, the search came up with “Bone China”… oookkkaaaayyy, amende pulok kena-mengena dengan ‘tulang cina’ ni?
Apparently ‘Bone China’ is a type of porcelain body that contains actual cattle bone also known as bone ash. This special ingredient resulted in the strongest and hardest porcelain ever made. So, the connection between a ‘Bone China’ and a 36th Anniversary may be that it signifies purity (Bone China is known for its ‘high whiteness’), translucency, durability and strength (does that sounds convincing because I’m totally making this up… warkhahaha!)
Anyway, we, the adik-beradiks, the menantus & the cucus, wish both of you a Happy 36th Anniversary & we are ever-grateful to celebrate it with you… Alhamdullilah!
p/s: we also extend our congratulatory wishes to our friends who had or will celebrate their first anniversary, also known as the “paper anniversary”… to which I have not the slightest idea what “paper” symbolizes in a marriage… vulnerability la kot…
