Heartbreaking

I just watched a clip video (duration of the video is about 2 minutes plus) on FB where a toddler boy has been forced to take his medicine by a caretaker.

Heartbreaking! :(

Kenapa sanggup buat begitu? They are still not understand. They are your responsibility within your working hours, amanah ibubapa untuk si pengasuh. They need love, they need us to guide them, they need attention. Kalau they refuse to take the medicine, pujuklah cara yang baik. Jangan dibuat sebegitu rupa. I choose not to elaborate sebab saya tiada ditempat kejadian, I just can interpret based on what I see. Tapi luluhlah hati bila melihat cara sebegitu dibuat kepada anak kecil.

I am a full time working mom. I have both of my parents and parents in laws yang duduk dekat but my husband and I choose to send our kids to daycare sebab tanak susahkan parents. We want our parents to have their own sweet time, ada masa untuk tambah ibadah dan ada masa for themselves sebab dulu diorang dah jaga dan besarkan kita adik beradik. It is not an easy task, now kita tahulah macam mana payahnya nak besarkan anak-anak dan kita boleh rasai apa yang parents dah lalui dulu.

Betul, we always want the best for our kids. So please, save your comments and stop judging people. We are not in their shoes, jangan bandingkan kehidupan kita dengan orang lain.

Hanya doa senjata utama kita. Berdoalah dan jaga hubungan dengan Allah.

Sebenarnya saya still sedih, hancur hati tengok video tu tadi. Ni dah tahap membebel tak tentu hala. Kecamuk ni rasa hati. Down pulak sikit rasa.

Haihh, dah nak masuk bulan Mac pun kan. Cepat betul masa berlalu. OKlah, sampai ketemu lagi. I am still sad. Tsk :/

"Haip, apa ni"

When Hafiya is not listening to us, we sometimes use this phrase to show that we are mad or not agree on what she has done:
“Haip, apa ni Hafiya ni.”

So one day, we overheard she said this:
“Haip, apa ni doll ni” to her doll. Bahahaha.

Another situation:
She was busy arranging small chairs in a room at her Wan’s house and Eizzat, her cousin came in and sit on one of the chairs. She suddenly said to Eizzat:

“Eizzat, no-no-no. Haip, apa ni, Eizzat ni.”

Eizzat buat muka tak bersalah :P

My husband, my SIL and I were laughing out loud from the kitchen upon hearing this. Bahahaha.

The night after the incident with Eizzat, I was accompanying Hafiya to take a few toys from her arwah Nyang’s room when unexpectedly she made me to stay there with her for a while. She was busy playing with her cooking toys; "Bate, bate chocolate"
(read here : Hafiya and her Spanish words) when after a few minutes I said to her, “Come, we go and play outside with Kakak” while I was trying to keep the toys in a basket.

Instantly, she tried to collect the toys and used her hands preventing me from keeping the toys and while looking straight into my eyes, she said this to me:

“No-no-no, ibu. Haip, apa ni ibu, ni”

T_____T

Kids are watching us live. Teeheee.

Hafiya, with her BFF that she called it as “Doll”

Random Things - 18th February

+ Bestnya dah hari Rabu! Cuti CNY plus weekend dapatlah 3 hari straight. Itupun dah suka hati sangat-sangat-sangat.

+ Banyak program sebenarnya cuti 3 hari ni, ada majlis tahlil rumah in laws, ada birthday Umi (Happy birthday to my dearest Umi! We love you always!), ada aktiviti dengan anak-anak dan cousins diorang, ada plan nak rearrange wardrobe kids, etc. Harapnya tercapailah segala perancangan. Hehe.

+ School Khayra cuti seminggu starting today. Seronoknya! Rasa nak cuti sama Ahad ni lepak-lepak dengan kids. Jalanraya pun dah lengang pagi tadi.

+ Kerja banyak sebenarnya tapi sebab melibatkan clients Cina, nak minta dokumen pun semua dah bercuti.

Nanti kalau rajin, I will upload the video later. Dia siap nyanyikan untuk Teacher Helen, cikgu music class dia masa kelas semalam. Haha. Excited pulak Teacher Helen cerita sebab she can sing in Mandarin. Bahahaha.

OK, till then.

Happy CNY!

Awak Kat Mana?

Semalam lepas balik dari kerja, I left Hafiya kejap in the car (yang telah dimatikan enjin dan pintu terbuka) sebab she was still strapped in her car seat tapi dah kunci pintu pagar sebab nak angkut barang ke depan pintu rumah. Khayra was with her inside the car. Jarak parking dengan pintu utama rumah hanya dalam 10 langkah je, so no need to worry ya!

So when I came back to get her and Khayra, I heard Hafiya was singing.

Guess, what song did she sing?

“Awak, kat aner. Awak, awak kat aner.”
(sambil buat macam rappers hand gestures and goyang kepala tu)

Pitammmmmm! T_____________T

Mana awak belajar ni, nak?! Bahahahahahaha! :P

Mesti Taufik Batisah kagum ni, baru 2 tahun 4 bulan dah nyanyi lagu dia. Hahaha.

Hafiya and Her Spanish Words

If my little girls are given the opportunity to choose their own character things, Khayra will go for (1) Frozen particularly Elsa, next would be (2) Barbie and (3) Princesses, particularly Belle or Cinderella. Hafiya on the other hand, will go for (1) Dora and (2) Frozen, particularly Anna and (3) Sofia the First.

Hafiya loves Dora as much as her Kakak did masa lingkungan umur dia dulu. We bought a few Dora’s DVD series and she will sit still kalau tengok, especially during a long hour drive.

We noticed Hafiya ada apply a few Spanish words sebab suka tengok Dora. Hehehe.

Scene I

One day, lepas turun dari kereta balik dari school, I was about to close the gate (pagar kami yang type slide to open / close). So tetibe terdengar Hafiya cakap masa nak tolak gate :

Hafiya : Ibu, nak ampujar ..
(nyanyi lagu “ampujar, ampujar, ampujar” sambil tolak gate)

LOL. Dia cakap ‘tolak’ dalam bahasa Spanish! = “ampujar” (sebutan : “ampuhan”)

So everytime nak tolak tutup gate, Hafiya akan cakap, “nak ampujar” :P

Scene II

Hafiya was playing with her masak-masak toys when suddenly she took a piece of bowl and a spatula, made an action of stirring something inside the bowl and started to sing:

Hafiya: “Bate bate chocolate. Mix the chocolate” (sebutan : “bah teh”)

So eventually “bate” means stirring. Bahahaha.

Hafiya pernah asking for a bowl and a spoon sebab katanya, “Ibu, Adik nak bate” *sambil buat action of stirring. LOL!

Scene III

If you noticed in one of the episodes of Dora the Explorer, they went to the park to search for the missing of Boot’s teddy bear.

When they reached at the park, Dora would say:

“We’ve made it to the al parque!” (means = park)

So when we went to the playground, Hafiya would say: “A-que” dengan yakinnya. Bahahah! :P
(Hafiya masih tak fasih dengan sebutan "al parque". Teeheee)

* That’s all yang boleh ingat for today :)

SUNDAYS

I have this love-hate relationship with SUN-DAYS.

Spending 2 full days; 48 hours with your family during the weekend, having fun and spending quality time with your children from morning till night, listen to their bubbly voices, make some activities with them or just simply lepak-ing at your home-sweet-home = will most likely cause me a weekend withdrawal syndrome on most Sundays in my motherhood diary.

My Sunday will most likely (if I am not that busy):

+ Counting hours to go home to see my family;
+ Pray that no appointment with fussy client(s), pretty please?
+ Pray that no negotiation with difficult client(s), please?
+ Pray that the clock will strike 5pm in a blink of eye. Hehe.
+ Planning what’s for our dinner.

This morning, I scolded Khayra for not getting ready quickly lepas mandi. I have finished making her warm milo, sharpened her pencils and did some dishes but she was still not getting ready with her school uniform. So I scolded her and she cried. Her abah had to interfere and she stopped crying and ate her breakfast. She came to me and salam me before she went to school with her abah. I know, I shouldn't scold her and feel bad about that. I guess Mr. Gopal’ has overruled my Sunday morning today. *sigh*

I feel guilty for the whole day today. Make my Sunday even worst :(

I stare at the clock, it’s still 3.55pm walaupun rasa dah buat kerja lamaaaa dari pagi. Heh.

Lepas tu rasa insaf.

“Janganlah kamu bersedih, sesungguhnya Allah bersama kita.”
(Surah At Taubah : 40)

My father called and informed me that he has bought a large pizza for us.

A banker called and told me that we have secured a large amount of loan today and asked us to take the offer letter.

Alhamdulillah.

Please excuse my ranting today.

I just miss my little darlings. Sobs T________T

Online Shopping and Customs Duties

The most awaiting parcels are finally arrived today. As expected, I have to pay the customs duties and this is my FIRST TIME EVER to pay such tax regarding my US online order through HSG. I have been doing so since 2013 and memang terlepas je sebab pandai budget. Bahahaha.

So this time tak dapat nak elak sebab barang murah sangat-sangat-sangat.

I just pejam mata and clicked here and there and terus bayar through Paypal from a few online websites.

So this afternoon, I received a phone call from DHL courier services and notified me on the tax imposed on my parcels. Quite a lot actually tax yang kena tu, tapi bila divided dengan barang-barang yang dibeli, still harga murah sangat-sangat-sangat. I blame on the currency exchange sebab tu I kena tax tu! Grrr.

Yang best-nya, staff kurier servis tu bila jumpa I and nak pass my parcels, dia cakap macam ni:

(In Terengganu dialect)
Staff DHL :    “Guane kali ni yang kena tax?”
(Macam mana kali ni boleh kena tax?) *sambil senyum*
Me :             “Hmm, itulah. Terkena pulok kali ni.”
Staff DHL :    “Dakpelah, yang sen-sen tu kita tolak. Bayar genap je, cukuplah.”
Me :             “Ooh, terima kasih.” *syukur*

Nampak tak, staff DHL pun tahu I order barang dari US sebelum ni tak pernah kena tax!

Haish.

Tapi sebenarnya tak sabar ni nak balik rumah dan kelebek barang-barang! Bahahaha :P

Creative, Fun Meals for Kids - by NWM

So I guess I have a new hobby now – making fun / creative meals for my Lil Darlings. It started when Hafiya was down with fever on Saturday night. She was all OK during Sunday morning and I sent her as usual to her day care but I promised to fetch her during lunch hour to bring her to clinic.

I took half day leave and went home with both Khayra and Hafiya right after the clinic visit. When it came to her meal time, Hafiya only took a small portion of meal but I was so thankful that she did not losing her appetite at all. Alhamdulillah, she was feeling much better at night.

The next morning, I decided to make her morning meal more attractive with the idea that she will eat more, so I started to decorate her morning meal and tadaaa! ...

I made this. We called it “Creatures of the Beach”.

Hafiya finished almost everything on her plate and continued having baked tuna cheese sandwiches after that. I was more than happy to see her reactions on this =)

Thank you, Allah for this awesome feeling that I could see in her expressions as above.

As for today, I made this - “Row row row your boat”.

Both of my Lil Darlings sang “Row, row, row, your boat, gently down the stream”… upon seeing this and they went straight away named it as “Row row row your boat”.

I was so excited to decorate more fun meals for them as they really enjoy it and the way that they like to name each of my deco! I will update more on this; probably via my instagram (@wahida163) or my FB account.

It was so addictive, peeps! :P

Tips Menyediakan Bekal Anak

So next step saya fikir macam mana nak buat roti atau pancake tu supaya senang anak nak makan? Jawapan dia - kena buat shape kecik–kecik atau potong kecik-kecik sebab senang masuk terus mulut anak-anak yang comel kan. Saya memang pasang impian nak wajibkan bawa buah-buahan dan vitamin nanti.

+ Idea saya just tekap-tekap je guna cookies cutter tu (kebetulan ada a few kat rumah sebab pernah beli untuk buat cookies).

#Tips penyediaan bekal anak (cara saya) :

+ Bangun awal sikit dari kebiasaan, saya bangun sekitar jam 5.30 pagi. InsyaAllah sempat.

Hehe.

+ Kalau ada jadual lagi elok. Saya buat juga jadual sendiri just in case tak ada idea dah nak buat apa. Kalau ada jadual, tak perlu ikut sebijik sejiban sebab tak perlu stress. Jadual hanya bertindak as a guide.

+ Buah-buahan saya stok seminggu 1-2 kali.

+ Stok vitamin, jangan dilupakan. Maknanya after makan semua, anak boleh makan je chewable vitamin tu even waktu rehat dah habis.

Tergolek Jatuh

Khayra has a music lesson class every Tuesday at 2.00 pm. Biasanya after class, Khayra will stay at my office before we both going back to our home-sweet-home sebab kelas dia within a walking distance from my office.

Nak dijadikan cerita, last week when we wanted to go home, as we walked downstairs to the ground floor, macam mana ntah dia boleh tergolek jatuh tangga!

I was like calling her name several times bila kejadian berlaku sebab I was totally in shocked. Tak sangka boleh jatuh tergolek kat tangga dan tak sempat grab her hands sebab it was too fast. Memula I kaget jugak dan hampir nak nangis takut dia tercedera ke apa kan. Khayra immediately bangun bila dah sampai bawah tu and I ran to her to check whether she was OK or not. Dia tak nangis, just gosok-gosok her pipi yang nampak merah sikit. After I checked her condition and her body, Alhamdulillah nothing yang merisaukan, we went back home and fetched Hafiya.

Tapi rasa nak ketawa pun ada lepas-lepas tu bila teringat nampak dia tergolek. Haha.

I told my mom and when she was on the phone with my mom, ada dengar dia cakap, “Khayra tak ngantuk.” Maybe my mom was asking her yang dia ngantuk ke sampai jatuh tergolek. Hehe. We did monitor on her condition that night and a few days after and Alhamdulillah, semua OK.

So this week, when we wanted to go back home from my office, she was taking extra caution masa nak turun tangga and tengok anak tangga satu persatu sampai bawah. So when she was safely turun sampai ground floor, I waited there and gave her a big applause sebab berjaya turun sampai bawah tanpa jatuh tergolek. Hehe.

Khayra’s reaction? - hanya senyum tersipu! Bahahahahaha.

Kelas Mengaji dan Fardhu Ain

Best ye KLites cuti lama sempena Hari Wilayah & Thaipusam. Jeles weh. Bahaha.

Sebelum ni pernah cerita pasal Khayra attend Tadika sama macam abahnya dahulu kan. Kira apa yang abah dia masuk dulu kita replicate method sama kalau masih ada lagi sekarang. Tehee. So senang kita nak monitor dia baca iqra sampai mana dan apa progress dia in class.

Risau sebab memang tahu kalau masuk kelas / environment baru, Khayra ni sukar sikit bab separation anxiety. Tengok last year contohnya, hampir 2 bulan jugak menangis cebik dalam kelas sewaktu kami tinggalkan dia (and 5 minutes later, she will be OK in the class, as being informed by Teacher Rozita, her class teacher). Tehee. Tahun ni nangis masa hari kedua sebab Lylia, kawan yang dia kenal kena tukar duduk meja lain. Alahai, anakku.

Hehehe.

Alhamdulillah, syukur pada Ilahi bila Khayra every week excited nak pergi Kelas Mengaji.
