38 weeks and counting

Bebelan untuk hari ini :

I am currently 38+ weeks of pregnant. Heavy, lethargic and sakit pinggang dan kadang-kadang ada lagi nausea. Given 3 days of MC until Raya Haji.

This 2nd pregnancy adalah wayyyy different from my 1st pregnancy. Time 1st pregnancy, langsung tak ada morning sickness, bertenaga sahaja dan everything went smooth sangat, alhamdulillah. This time around, baru rasa apa itu morning sickness, back pain yang teruk, nausea until 3rd trimester, tak ada selera makan dan too sensitive terhadap strong smell. Yikes. Tapi Alhamdulillah, kesemua ini terjadi bila pulang dari kerja or during weekends only. Time pergi kerja, OK sahaja. Ngee.

Baby’s gender? Haha. Surprise! Kita tengoklah nanti Adam atau Hawa yang keluar. We have prepared name for both genders.

Preparation during pantang and for baby dah ready. Adik Baby, cepatlah keluar! Ibu tak sabar dah ni. Heheh.

Kakak Khayra ada hari-hari yang dia terlalu behave, kami bersyukur sangat. Sangat berdikari sekarang dan ya, kalau bercakap memang tak berhenti. Heh. Namun adalah hari-hari yang mood dia tak elok, too clingy and too sensitive. Symptoms nak jadi Kakak agaknya.

Sebenarnya nama je dapat MC tapi ada je tercangak depan laptop ni haa, buat kerja pejabat, reply emails, reply inquiries, entertain calls dan lain-lain. Cumanya tak perlu naik turun tangga di office tu. Nasiblah Labu.

Throughout my 2nd pregnancy ini, banyak sangat jasa dan pengorbanan Encik Suami. I really feel I could not go through all these without my husband’s support. Be it morally or physically support. Terima kasih Encik Suami! *kisses*

Kami ke Turki when I was 11 weeks pregnant. Ambil gambar punya banyak, tapi sampai sekarang akan nausea bila tengok. Seriously. Haha. Sebab itu tak upload lagi sampai sekarang. I missed the opportunity naik belon udara di Cappadocia sebab it was not advisable for a pregnant lady for the ride, hence tinggal kenangan sahaja. My advice, pergi jalan-jalan sebelum pregnant. Orang nasihat kat aku, pergi jalan-jalan sebelum ada anak 2. Haha.

We are hiring a maid – the main purpose adalah nak bantu my mom when the baby is arrived. More on the concept, maid handles the house chores, my mom will take care of the baby. Sebab if nak hantar nursery, rasa macam kecil sangat and to let my mom taking care of the baby AND doing her house chores, adalah tak sampai hati. Kami doa moga urusan kami dipermudahkan dan semoga dapat maid yang tak menyusahkan hidup kami sepanjang the deal with our agent dan Alhamdulillah, doa kami dipermudahkan-Nya. The maid is staying with us and part of me is still in denial of having a stranger in the house. Tapi sebenarnya banyak membantu dalam my current condition yang tak larat nak pegang mop, penyapu and to maintain the house. Kami doa semoga semua berjalan dengan baik. Amin.

Nak pergi lunch. Will update more, insyaAllah if the time permits. Till then. Doakan kami ya.

Weekend Getaway During Ramadhan

We made a last minute decision to go to KL as Monday was a public holiday – Nuzul Quran (17 Ramadhan) in KT. We applied leave on Sunday so that we will have a long weekend from Friday. As I’m pregnant and wanted to do some shopping, hubs suggested that we booked a hotel that is closed to any shopping mall. So we opted for this hotel and made our booking through Agoda (thank you to all my fellow Twitter friends for convincing me to book through Agoda – this is my first time booking a hotel through a website. Hehe).

Cititel Mid Valley – a very convenient place to stay and it is so closed to Mid Valley Mega Mall. Weeee!

We departed KT early in the morning, had our sahur in Kemaman, solat Subuh at Gambang and arrived KL at 8.30am. Went to SIL’s house to pass something from MIL, had a quick rest and went to Ikea. Hubs performed his Friday prayer first before heading to check in the hotel and we just rest in our room thereafter.

We opted for Buffet Berbuka Puasa at the hotel (RM80+ per pax). The foods were delicious and I ate a lot (according to hubs I really enjoyed the buffet spread despite of my no-appetite-hormone since being pregnant). Not to forget this little girl who also ate a lot for free (kids below 6yo is free).

Hubs booked Gold Class tickets to watch a movie that night at Mid Valley (just a walking distance from our hotel). We watched The Dark Knight Rises and I love it to the max. Khayra had been sleeping after an hour in the theater and she kept telling us before that, “Ibu, macam tengok kat rumah kita, kan?” (As the seat could recline and a blanket was provided in the cinema). Haha.

The next day was a shopping day for us (especially for this pregnant lady. Ngee).

She was wearing a sun glass from FOS Kids, a top from Gap Kids and a legging from Zara Kids.

When everyone is settling down for Jovian’s and Rizalman’s Raya Collection, I settled for these dresses from Mother Club and Modern Mum. Heh.

(It was Hubby’s treat on one of those dresses, thank you! *kisses*). FYI this will be my first time to wear a dress, be it during pregnant or not pregnant. We’ll see how it goes. Heheh.

2012 : Father's Day!

Dear Abah,

Thank you for taking care of all my needs, thank you for always be there when Ibu and I needed you the most, thank you for all your support.

When Ibu is not feeling well as she is pregnant with Adik, you are my hero;

Of taking care my meal and making my milk when I am hungry,

Of washing me up when I pooped or shi-shi,

Of holding me up and carrying me when I'm too lazy or tired to walk or whenever I want to be just a little daddy’s girl,

Of calming me down when I throwing my tantrums,

Of waking in the middle of nights when I am not feeling well,

Of washing my clothes, folding and keeping them nicely,

Of tidying our house including scrubbing the toilets and turning it into a beautiful place for us to stay,

Of working diligently to earn more money to our little family so that we could go for another vacation together,

And of all other unmentioned tasks you did for me and Ibu (and for my little Adik in Ibu's tummy), 

Thank you for LOVING us that much.

Thank you for everything, thank you for being my amazing Abah and thank you for always be my hero.

June - Turning 30!

Its June 2012 already and today is my birthday! Kebanyakan yang wish, akan ada terselit ucapan “Welcome to 3-series”. Whatever. Haha. Tahu tak, apa yang ditunggu-tunggu menjelang hari lahir sejak berkahwin? Birthday card from my dear Husband. Yeah, I’m just a simple girl (girl? Haha!). If ada orang tak sabar tunggu present etc., aku tak sabar nak baca birthday card from my dearest Hubby. 

I did that first thing in the morning today and as expected, I cried when I read his card. Memang tiap-tiap kali dapat apa-apa kad dari Husband, aku nangis bila habis baca. If you know my husband very well, you will know the loveliness of his writing, the best poem that I’ve ever read yang dia composed sendiri, lirik lagu dia tulis, etc. I bet if he writes a blog, orang akan jatuh cinta kot dengan penulisan dia. Knowing him, dia tak suka share his writings to public hence I get the exclusive rights over it. Yippee!

We already had an early birthday dinner; Hubby’s treat last 3 days plus the present hunting. I received a lot of notifications, SMSes, phone calls, birthday cards, cash money etc for my birthday and I guess it’s not that bad of turning 30, huh? I am so blessed and I couldn’t ask for more. Alhamdulillah!

As to date, I’m entering my 5-months of (second) pregnancy; feel so heavy, still lethargic here and there and ‘miss’ nausea is still my best friend. Huhu. Tapi syukur sangat I still manage to go to work everyday (only took 1-day of MC so far), wake up early in the morning feeling fresh, manage to get Khayra’s ready to school everyday and make a simple breakfast sometimes (still no proper cooking so far sebab tak tahan bau). Hehe.

There’s a lot to update on Khayra’s progress but I’m too occupied with work (Alhamdulillah, new portfolios are coming in. Rezeki baby, insyaAllah) and fighting over my (pregnancy) hormone nowadays. Haha. So far she could recite surah Al-Fatihah, Surah Al-Ikhlas, doa makan, doa habis makan, doa tidur, doa untuk ibu bapa, doa masuk toilet, a bit of Asma Ul Husna etc. She knows and recognized alphabets, numbers, colours and shapes. She still likes to sing, be it nasyid, nursery rhymes, lagu rakyat, lagu-lagu yang berputaran diradio and the latest, dia suka nyanyi lagu “Untuk Dia” Sleeq Feat Najwa Latiff (where I have to Google tajuk dan penyanyi. Heh). Haha. Now, she insists and would like us to call her “Kakak Khayra”. When people asked why, she will say: “Sebab Khayra dah nak jadi Biggg Sister” (dengan nada seronok). Haha.

Hello, Second Trimester!

Hola! (Gaya Dora, please?). Maaf, terpengaruh dengan anak saya. Heehe. Lamanya tak mengemaskini blog. Alasan kali ini adalah kerana ada penyakit ‘M’. Heh.

Apa? Nak tahu pasal trip ke Turki? Tunggu ya, saya masih belum transfer gambar yang beratus-ratus keping tersebut. Nantilah, bagi saya sedikit ruang sebab sekarang masih bertungkus-lumus menyiapkan kerja yang menggunung itu. *hiba mode*

You have no idea (tiba-tiba tukar tulis Bahasa Inggeris. Haha), how much I want to share our good news with you tapi maaflah, masa tak mengizinkan selama ini. Inipun curi masa untuk menulis sementara menunggu klien tiba.

The good news (at least for us and our families. Ngee) is : Khayra will become a big sister soon. Alhamdulillah, I’m entering my second trimester now. Sangat berbeza pengalaman kali ini berbanding masa pregnant-kan Khayra dulu. When I said this to Hubby, he said : “Sebab dulu kita PJJ, Allah permudahkan urusan kita. Kali ini berat sikit supaya kita sabar to face it together.” Sort of macam ini jawapan Suami kepada saya. Hehe.

For this second pregnancy: saya mengalami keletihan yang melampau, nausea dan sangat sensitif terhadap bau-bauan, perut yang tak selesa dan kurang selera makan seawal kami tahu mengenainya pada minggu ke-5. We did the home pregnancy test as soon as my period was delayed for 3 days. Sewaktu period delayed hari pertama, saya siap countdown dengan Suami, punyalah excited. Haha.

Totally lain dengan waktu Khayra bila dulu saya langsung tiada masalah makan, not much of nausea dan tak seletih kali ini. Now, cravings jangan cakaplah, tapi bila perut tak selesa, selera turut tersekat. This time around, bila balik office saja memang tak selesa dan sangat letih. Buat satu kerja seperti lipat kain dah mengah. Setakat ini boleh kira berapa kali saya memasak kat rumah – masak telur dadar saja mungkin. Haha. So don’t ask me too much on Turkey’s trip sebab tak berdaya lagi nak buat entry (walaupun sepatutnya in second trimester dah OK sikit, kan?). Alhamdulillah sepanjang di Turki, saya diberikan kesihatan yang baik. Syukur sangat Suami, ibu bapa dan mertua yang banyak membantu dan menjaga Khayra.

Apa reaksi Khayra bila tahu dia bakal ada adik? Oh, begitu excited. Kalau saya letih, she said, “Ibu baring k?” When I cannot smell her poo-poo she said, “Ibu, tutup hidung k? Abah basuh.” Haha. Kalau saya cakap tak larat nak dukung dia, she will walk dan pegang tangan saya. Bila pergi scan, dia excited pegang gambar baby. Obviously bila tahu saya pregnant, Khayra agak clingy. She told her teacher, “Dalam perut Ibu Khayra ada baby.” Habis, satu school tahu. Meriah anak saya. Haha.

Gotta stop here sebab klien dalam perjalanan ke sini. Doakan saya dan adik baby sihat ya! Amin.

China Trip (December, 2011)

Sorry for the late update. Here’s a complete notes on our recent (d'uh its already March, 2012!) trip to China. If you personally ask me whether I want to come again to China (particularly Shenzhen), I would say NO. Teehee. But if you have never been to China, it’s a good experience to know about their culture, their foods, their places of interests etc. For those yang cerewet pasal makan while traveling, please bring your own comfort food (like serunding daging, sambal bilis, kicap etc). It is also a well-known place for shopping, as you could find almost everything under one roof in China, with a cheaper price if I may add. The key words are : you-must-bargain-when-purchasing!

Note : please bear in mind, imitation things are everywhere, tepuk dada, tanya selera. The weather in Guangzhou is generally lagi sejuk berbanding Shenzhen and Hong Kong. All in all, it was a nice experience in China. I may conclude, if you go anywhere with your beloveds you will feel great! That’s the key :)

Her favourite songs in the car right now : Sifat-Sifat Allah (Khayra will ask for “Qidam-Baqa-Song”) and 10 Malaikat (she pronounces it as “Maikat”) by Raihan. Hubs bought it 2 weeks ago and she will ask for “Qidam-Baqa-Song” or sometimes she refers it as “Number 5” as the song is on Track #5 and “Maikat Song” bila naik kereta. Punyalah pasang hari-hari sampai ingat track nombor berapa lagu apa. Hihi. Khayra cuba menghafal sebenarnya. Doakan anak saya, ya? :D

Play School Day 1 - Khayra

Alhamdulillah, these are what Khayra have told us – regarding her new play school and her reaction towards going to school on Day 2 this morning (via my Twitter updates) :

Khayra - New Play School 2012

It seems just like yesterday I went alone to send Khayra to her first (play) school in early 2011. I remember I cried after sending her to school and I can’t wait to fetch her up from school. After 2 months of sending her to school, I discovered she has learnt a lot and she was good at teaching skills (still make me laugh until now when I read / look at the pictures :P).

This year we have enrolled Khayra into a new play school. Not that her previous school has done something wrong tapi kami dah jatuh hati pada this one play school based on its input. This new play school offers iqra’, science, more to development skills, do-it-yourself method and offers English medium education. It has Parents’ Day and Ihtifal Day (concert / presentation day) which I like the most. Teehee. There are several classes according to the age group with less than 15 kids per class (Khayra will be in the Play Group class) with 3 Teachers and maids to assist and all kids will have to attend assembly every morning untuk pengisian rohani. Yang paling ‘best’ Ibu dan Abah kena hantar Khayra awal pagi at 8.20am (sebelum ini school lama hantar at 9.00am). Hihi.

We went to send her together this morning to her new school. With her wearing her school uniform and without wearing diaper, we have in fact already potty trained her and so far she will tell us whenever she wants to shi-shi (pee) and will ask for diaper whenever she wants to poo-poo (haha!). Sebenarnya dah cakap awal-awal yang Khayra akan masuk new school dan usually dia akan sambung, “ada kawan-kawan baru, Teachers baru..” so we taught she would be ready to face it. She was kinda excited bila pakai uniform baru and bergaya sakan when we took her pictures untuk tatapan her grandparents.

At the moment sampai school baru, Khayra OK saja. We talked to her teacher, hantar masuk ke tempat assembly but the moment teacher nak ambil Khayra, she cried. Hubby told me she will be OK then kitorang terus ke kereta. I didn’t cry maybe sebab hantar berdua dengan Suami, jadi tabahlah sikit. Heh. We hope she is doing fine at her new school. Amin.

Now, I really can’t wait to fetch her from school and dengar cerita dari Si Kenit! Pasti banyak! :P
